Julius Weng
GHEI Medical Student Fellow

Julius began working with GHEI in 2016 as a medical student in partnership with the UCLA Center for World Health. His project focused on adapting child developmental assessments for use in Ghana and conducting a baseline evaluation of child development in the community.

Since then, Julius has continued to be involved with monitoring and evaluation aspects of the Mother Mentor program.

During medical school, Julius has discovered that he’s a kid at heart and is now pursuing a pediatric specialty. He plans, if all goes well, to have a career in academic medicine deeply involved with clinical research and medical education. When he’s not studying, Julius enjoys sipping on coffee in the morning, entertaining his girlfriend’s cats, and taking photos of his adventures
