Diana Rickard, MD MSHS
Co-founder, Executive Director & Board Chair 

 

Diana is the co-founder, executive director, and board chair of GHEI, which began operations in 2004. As the executive director, she is responsible for overseeing GHEI’s global operations and evidence-based health interventions. She also co-directs the educational programs for medical students offered through GHEI’s partnership with UCLA’s Center for Global Health.

 

Diana is a pediatrician at Cedars-Sinai Hospital and volunteer faculty in the department of pediatrics at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She completed her residency in Pediatrics with a focus on Community Health and Advocacy at UCLA Medical Center, and then completed a three-year National Institute for Health (NIH) National Research Service Award fellowship, also at UCLA. She also holds a masters degree in health services from UCLA.
