Program Coordinator Positions Program Coordinators are given the large responsibility of helping to manage GHEI's programs with local managers and staff. In addition, GHEI Program Coordinators supervise short-term volunteers with their projects (see Program Coordinator info for details). Term length is usually thirteen months, which includes a one-month overlap period with the outgoing Program Coordinator to allow for training.

This position is subsidized by GHEI, which means that Program Coordinators are not required to fundraise. They receive a stipend to subsidize expenses incurred while working with GHEI. GHEI cannot pay for plane tickets or other travel costs.
